Anne Hathaway is giving Rihanna credit for changing the way she thinks about maternity fashion. During a recent television appearance, the actress said Rihanna’s bold pregnancy looks encouraged her to approach her own wardrobe with more creativity and confidence while expecting her third child.
Hathaway explained during the appearance that seeing Rihanna embrace fashion throughout pregnancy helped expand her idea of what maternity style could look like. Rather than treating pregnancy clothing as something purely practical, she has leaned into expressive pieces and red carpet looks that still feel personal.
That influence has been visible in several of Hathaway’s recent appearances. She has stepped out in outfits that highlight her baby bump, including a Prabal Gurung look and a sleek black gown worn during promotional events for Verity.
Hathaway is expecting her third child with husband Adam Shulman. She has continued attending premieres and other public events while balancing a busy year of film work.
Her comments also reflect Rihanna’s wider impact on celebrity maternity fashion, particularly the idea that pregnancy style can remain playful, polished and individual.
